Darren Calabrese’s work recognized with many awards

Lindsay Hilton, who was born without full arms or legs, pauses between deadlift reps at CrossFit OnSide in Halifax, N.S.,  on June 27, 2016. “It’s been a work in progress”, Lindsay confesses about the adaptations she needs to make for her workouts. “There are lots of things I can’t do. Well, things I can’t do as well as I’d like to do, but I’m still working things out.” And, “I don’t want to be ‘good for someone without arms and legs,'” she adds. “I want to be good.”

Darren Calabrese is an award-winning photographer based on Canada’s East Coast, specializing in reportage, portrait, and editorial photography.

Darren’s work has garnered numerous accolades and recognition, including World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year International, Magenta Foundation, News Photographers Association of Canada, etc.

Darren lives by the ocean in Halifax, N.S. with his wife Tammy and daughters Harriet and June.
