Farm Culture

Eight years ago cattle farmer Hughie Campbell of Rose Valley, P.E.I., suffered a massive heart attack forcing him to quit traditional farming.
Having grown up in what he calls the “farm culture” Hughie wanted to stay working in agriculture at some capacity.
So, instead of swearing off farming altogether he began looking at alternative, less physically demanding forms of agriculture.
In 2009 Hughie began the process of transforming his cattle farm into a craft brewery and hops farm. This is his story.
