Shaun Best Memorial Scholarship Recipient – Marta Iwanek Portfolio

Marta Iwanek was presented with the Shaun Best Memorial Photojournalism Scholarship by Loyalist College Photojournalism professor Scott Whalen on November 13, 2012. The award is given in memory of Shaun Best, the outstanding Reuters photographer who died suddenly in 2010 while covering the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Conceived and spearheaded by Shaun’s good friend, photojournalist Barbara Davidson, the scholarship is for full tuition for a second year student in Photojournalism. Congratulations Marta!

A big thanks from Loyalist faculty and staff to Barbara Davidson, Peter Jones, Kevin Frayer, Andy Clark and everyone else who made this amazing award happen.
